Track Name: Hans Roofthooft - Thank You
I’d never thought I’d be doing this at all
None of my friends would’ve believed me if I told them I would crawl
On a stage somewhere alone
Facing people on my own
No one there to catch me if I should fall

For a while I secretly wanted to
Give it a try and see if I could, just like you,
Move or simply entertain
Push whatever thoughts away
Play all I should feel like, fuckups too

Thank you for your confidence
For thinking that I could make some sense
For giving me the opportunity
For believing in me

I made this, now it’s out for all to hear
I hope some of you will tell me what you think of it, sincerely
Tell me in all honesty
What you think of it
Feel free to tell me to just quit and let it be
Track Name: Hans Roofthooft - Punk Rock Heart
She's been bouncing around, now she’s counting
Every bruise as a token of pride
There’s a chance she’ll be having a little too much
Not intended but she just might
It’s never a violent thing, the urge to dance hard and sing along
Give way to the rebel inside
All the way right from the start
Bless her punk rock heart

He's been standing somewhere in the back now
Quietly enjoying the show
Carefully watching who's playing what and how
Everyone is ablaze at the front row
He has no need to be in the pit, feeling free
To experience and always remain
True and never disregard
Bless his punk rock heart

And after every show they return home with memories that will last long
Already looking forward to the next one ‘cause that’s where they belong

They have met on an occasion like this
Started talking, then kissed
Now they are one in mind
Sharing records and thoughts
Happy with what they’ve got
Pretty much always entwined
And to anyone who claims they are wrong
They should grow up, be strong
There’s a clear fuck you
No one will tear them apart
Bless their punk rock heart
Track Name: Hans Roofthooft - Sally
Sally’s been creating all day now
In a room where she’s left all alone
No one understands but she’s calling it home

She’s been ‘round for many a year now
Met so many people like you
But there’s hardly anyone who can get through
How to trust what you can’t get into
She can see that most people won’t do

Sally knows where she wants to go to
But she doesn’t know how to do so
She thinks about leaving but she'll never go

She knows there’s a future hiding somewhere
She’s been looking searching but never too hard
Because she knows she is not really smart
She will fail when she is caught off guard
You can’t tell but inside she is scarred

And some people smile as she’s turning away
All assuming she’s perfectly fine
But they don’t know what lies concealed in her mind
She’ll get over it somewhere in time
It’s a cruel world that keeps her confined

Some of them think she is strange anyway
And because they don’t know how to deal with her
They’re making fun, she knows and she will hide
In a room where she makes her sun shine
She’ll pretend all is well and aligned
Track Name: Red Cloud - In Spirit
I don’t seem to understand my friend this world that pained you so much, the dark thoughts that you had. Your last hours keep haunting me as if they were my own. As I keep trying to protect you from the harm that can’t be undone.

Every time I’m walking on this endless road alone there is no escaping from my thoughts. Breathing in just like you did before you put an end to it and walked away from all that you held dear.

Can’t bear the thought of losing another friend. The more scarce our time together, the more that it all meant. And I remember clearly driving your car around our town to hang up posters for more good times. I value that so high.

Every time I’m walking on this endless road alone there is no escaping from my thoughts. Breathing in just like you did before you put an end to it and walked away from all that you held dear.

I can’t be sure this will be the last verse that I write in your honor, ‘cause grief visits like a curse. It comes around just now and then and eats away a little more of memories deep in my head, though I’ll keep my heart safe.

Every time I’m walking on this endless road alone there is no escaping from my thoughts. Breathing in just like you did before you put an end to it and walked away from all that you held dear.

Walked away from all, walked away from all, walked away from all… I hold you dear.

For Kenis, with much love.
